Hydroxyesters

Hydroxyesters are recommended for heat or ambient cured, thermoset coatings with permanent marring and solvent resistance, high gloss retention and weatherability. Crosslinking of the hydroxyfunctional prepolymers can, for example, react with melamine resins or blocked isocyanates (one-component systems) or multifunctional isocyanates (two-component systems). Hydroxyesters also serve as adhesion promoters in reactive resins for bonding of metal surfaces.
